March 30th, 2009

The PO tried to deliver a package today, but I have no idea what it's for. It's very confusing. There's no record of the article number he left on the package. I was hoping it was Miss A's MJ stuff, but no dice.

I put Miss A in J&J's Scenic Locale today, mostly because I've been dying to use the headscarf. It's super cute! I picked up the sandals at Target. I loved them so much, and they were so cheap, that I bought them in two sizes to last the whole summer.

Mr. A wore Gap jeans and a shirt from Janie and Jack's Vintage Wheels line. A lot of people said this shirt was too babyish, but Mr. A said the kids in his class love shirts like that, because they like to read the words. Go figure.

Day two of the Influence of Daddy. I was once again recording a site that will never be excavated or researched in any way. Miss A stayed in PJs all day (look familiar, Allie?) and Mr. A wore jeans and a Knuckleheads shirt.

I take no responsibility for the weekend outfits. I was in a field class, recording a Native American site in the foothills. . . .far away from these questionable outfits.

Mr. A and Miss A had quite the busy day. They went to a Guitar Hero competition, where Mr. A did really well! He didn't win, but he came close. It was his first competition, and he was so excited! I'm sad that I missed it. After the competition, they went to a soccer clinic sponsored by the local semi-pro (or whatever you call them in soccer) league. Mr. A had a BLAST!

You'd think that would be enough, but no! When they got home, Mr. A and Miss A's daddy set out a tarp, turned on the sprinklers, and created a makeshift slip n' slide. Both kids were worn out by the end of the day.

Miss A started the day out in the Matilda Jane Casey Ellie halter TOP. Emphasis on the TOP. Her daddy thought it was a dress (to be fair, we did use it as a dress. . .when she was 5 months old) and didn't think the Bloom Bloomers (that were also on the hanger) matched. So he threw those on the ground (Yes! What a horrible person! :P) and found a pink diaper cover he thought looked good.

I told Mr. A and his daddy to find something from the Gymboree line Rock On to wear. Well, they found some shorts from Gymboree, and they did ok with a Target play shirt, but then they thought the outfit was missing some color. So they added red Chucks. Ahhhhh. . .this is why daddy doesn't pick out outfits.

Now, both the kids have lots of swimsuits. So what did their daddy pick? A swim diaper and a pair of PJ BOTTOMS! Yes, my son wore pajamas to play on the makeshift water slide.

I don't know why I didn't get around to posting these. Friday was a great day! We went to the park right after Mr. A got out of school, and we hung out there for about an hour. Miss A zeroed-in on a little girl who was about four, and kept trying to get her attention by waving and screaming, "HI!" Sadly, the little girl never responded. After the big boys came home, we went to eat Japanese food. Yum. Except they used too much pepper this time.

Miss A was decked out in line-mixed Gap. The top was from Treehouse and the bottoms were from Safari. Both were from the. . .gasp!. . .outlet. :)

Mr. A wore Gap jeans, a J&J Dino Days polo, and Ralph Lauren shoes. J&J polos are the best!

March 26th, 2009

Almost didn't make it! Whew! Friends and Family started tonight at Janie and Jack, and I got a few things, so I should be able to talk at least Mr. A into doing a fashion show when it all arrives (hopefully Monday or Tuesday).

Miss A and I had an awesome day! We visited with our aunt, played in the dirt (Miss A ate dirt for the first time), and went shopping. Great day! You're probably wondering how the dirt eating went. It went very well. She went back for seconds. And thirds. That's when I stopped being negligent and chatting with my aunt and stopped her. At least she's building up immunity to Valley Fever. Always a positive.

Here she is at the end of her exhausting, dirty day. :) She's in Gap Treehouse. I adore this dress, but it kind of seems to run short. It's actually above her knees, even though it doesn't look like it in this pic. What you see behind you is playroom destruction. I didn't even know that TV was plugged in. Today was the first day it has been turned on it probably close to two years.

Photobucket

Mr. A wore a shirt from Gymboree's Rock On line. I don't know why I bought so much of this. I keep forgetting he even has it. His jeans are from Gap. His smile is usually goofy nowadays, but today was really silly since I asked him to let me take a picture before he put on his TKD uniform. What I got was a picture of him with one of our new sleds over his face. He was pulling his pants down while I was looking at the pictures, and when I saw what I had gotten, I made him pull them back up real quick so I could take a better picture. Boys!

Today was Miss A's first day in a dress as a walker. She still crawls on her hands and feet some, so I was hoping this would encourage her to stay upright. I love this dress! It's from J&J's layette line Floral Delights. I didn't get a good picture of it, but I can guarantee you'll see it again.

Mr. A told me it was going to be cold today, because he saw it on the PBS weather forecast. It wasn't. But I believed him, so he went to school in jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt. The shirt is from Mini Boden, and the jeans are from H&M. He initially wasn't very happy to have his picture taken.

But then he warmed up.

March 24th, 2009

Today, Miss A decided to learn how to walk. WTG, Miss A! Bring on the dresses! You'll probably see lots of them in a couple of weeks when she learns how to walk better.

Since she's still a bit unsteady, I put her in an ensemble from Gymboree's layette line By the Seashore. It's much cuter than these pictures show. And her thighs are much bigger than these pictures show. LOL I have other pics to prove it. :D

Photobucket

Mr. A looked so handsome today. He's in a Boden shirt and another pair of Ralph Lauren chinos. (Oh, boy--we have lots of them. I love little boys in Ralph Lauren.)

Nothing yesterday--the kids stayed in their PJs. That's kind of a thing here on the weekends.

Just a quick pic today. I wish you could see Miss A's outfit. I absolutely adore it. It's from Janie and Jack's Garden Botanical line. It was too cold to wear the shirt on its own, so I put the onesie underneath it--oh my gosh, it was soooo cute!

Mr. A is wearing a polo from Janie and Jack's Vintage Wheels line and Ralph Lauren chinos.

No pics of Miss A today. Instead, you get one of Mr. A. He went to the batting cage today, and I had nothing to do with his outfit. Please don't pay attention to the shoes--those are embarrassing. But really, the boys did an excellent job of matching today.

The top is from Boden. I LOVE it! The shorts are from the Janie and Jack like Dinosaur Days. I can't believe they match the Boden so well.

March 20th, 2009

As promised, here is a pic of the J&J Fresh Daisies dress. It's a 12-18, and boy does it run long. It's snug in the chest, though. I think it will work. She wouldn't let me take a picture of the front of the dress. I'm sure I'll get one eventually.

Photobucket

But here's what she wore today. We went to our aunt's birthday party tonight, so I put Ava in her Janie and Jack Little Blossom dress. I love this dress so much, and I'm going to be very sad to see it go. The tulle underneath the dress makes it poof out perfectly, and the sash makes the waist cinch just the way it should. In short, the perfect dress.

Photobucket

Wow--are we seeing a theme with these poses?

March 19th, 2009

Today was a pretty lazy day. I was going to write something important and earth-shattering on here, but I guess it wasn't as big of a deal as I thought, because I've already forgotten what it was.

No pictures of Mr. A today, but he wasn't wearing anything too exciting. He had on a reversible shirt from J&J's Glacier Frost line and some dark grey pants from Naartjie. Yes again. I went crazy ordering Naartjie for the fall/winter, and then he didn't end up wearing most of what I bought.

Miss A wore a shirt and shorts from the J&J line Sweet Coral Reef. I really like the colors in this line on her. The hat is from the same line, but it doesn't match. She didn't wear it out of the house, either. I just threw it on while we were taking pictures.

My order from the J&J outlet came today. I bought Mr. A some stuff from the Vintage Wheels line: two polos, a light-blue applique shirt, and some plaid shorts. I also got a the Fresh Daisies patchwork dress for Miss A. I tried it on her today, and the top part fits really well, but it is long. Not overwhelmingly long, though. I ordered a M2M headscarf for her. It should be really cute this summer. I'll put up pictures tomorrow.

March 18th, 2009

The kids played outside today before dinner. I had class, so Mr. A and Miss A's daddy made dinner. That was nice of him. It was really nice today. It's supposed to be warmer next week. I just don't want it to get too hot too fast, because that sucks.

Mr. A wore a Knuckleheads shirt that I almost forgot about. I like the Knuckleheads designs, but the clothes are somewhat pricey (on par with Janie and Jack, but without any sales or coupons worth mentioning), and I'm on the fence about how the clothes have held up. His pants are from Naartjie. I try to love Naartjie, but it just hasn't happened yet.

I took the tags off Miss A's GAP Jet Set outfit today, and I love it! I think it's so cute! I can't wait for her to be able to wear the dress in the same pattern (she has both colors). I hope she'll be willing to keep the headband on. She has an Old Navy onesie on underneath, because I was hoping to protect her arms from mosquitoes, but then I realized her legs were fully uncovered. D'oh!

March 17th, 2009

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Mr. A kind of wore green today, but I'll be honest--I totally forgot about it. Oh, well. His little bit of green saved him from getting pinched. Miss A had no green at all, unless you want to count the minuscule amount of thread on the onesie no one could see. :)

First up is Mr. A. He got to wear his new clothes today! He was excited. Both the pants and the shirt are from the Janie and Jack line Dinosaur Days.

Photobucket

Miss A also got to wear new clothes. I just took the tags off this Janie and Jack On Safari set. I don't love it as much as I thought I would, but it is cute. Maybe it's cuter on an older girl. She was originally wearing the white crochet espadrilles from the J&J Sweet Coral Reef line, but after literally one minute, they were hanging around her ankles as she crawled down the hallway.

March 16th, 2007

My kids stayed in their pajamas yesterday.

Today was nice. The one nice week we have here, I guess. I should probably take advantage of it.

No pics of Mr. A, who wore his Janie and Jack Seafaring Style polo and Gymbo navy blue roll pants.

Miss A wore Gymboree's Holland Days. I really like this line. I don't understand why it wasn't more popular. I've owned most of it--actually, other than the light blue dress, all of it--at one time or another.

March 14th, 2009

I admit defeat. I just can't take pics of my kids every day. I think it's a lazy gene or something.

But here's Miss A on Saturday. Mr. A had a playdate with his new little girlfriend. They went to McD's to play in the play place and eat lunch. Of course, Miss A went along, too, even though she didn't get to play. She was happy with her chicken.

Mr. A rode his bike to McD's with his daddy, so Miss A and I stayed behind until they got there, and then we met up with them. She stayed suprisingly clean all day, considering she was wearing a white cardigan. Everything is from the Gymboree Cherry Pie line. I've had this outfit in two sizes, because I have problems.

March 7th, 2009

This is my weekend project. Well, I've spent all week basically packing up Miss A's winter things and putting up the spring and summer stuff. I'm happy with what she has--it certainly isn't as much as what she had this fall and winter, which is a really good thing. There are plenty of hangers left over, which means I won't have to feel bad about picking up an outfit or two from the new Janie and Jack lines.

March 6th, 2009

Slacker! This is why I don't blog.

I packed up most of Miss A's winter things, so of course today was freezing cold. I haven't done laundry, because there isn't enough to do, but her five remaining winter/fall things aren't clean. The same goes for Mr. A. This is what happens when I don't do laundry--clothes that should never go together get meshed into a horrid excuse for an outfit.

Yes, I let them go out of the house like this. I'm surprised people's retinas weren't burned.

We went to the park this afternoon, and one would think I keep Miss A in a cage by the way she acted. This was her first "real" outdoor time, though, because whenever she's outside, she's usually being held or pushed in a stroller. This was her first taste of freedom, and now she wants to live outside.

On a side note, I think Mr. A has a girlfriend.

This outfit never should have seen the light of day. Everything is from Gap, mostly from the Boho line, but somehow, it just doesn't work together. . .

Photobucket

This outfit also never should have seen the light of day. . .I take no responsibility for this. I asked him to wear the black hoodie. He said he didn't know where it was. This was the only thing available. The hoodie is from Gymboree's Shark Reef line, the pants are Knucklehead's Ivy League, he's wearing a yellow shirt underneath from Knuckleheads, and the shoes are from Vans. Never again.
